ugg pas cher Hong Kong is making plans to modernize traditional Chinese medicines with clinical testing, official stamps of approval and global marketing. By establishing recognized standards for your ancient healing methods, which stress total body harmony as opposed to ridding the body of parasites or viruses that cause sicknesses, Hong Kong wishes to help create a bigger international industry it can easily dominate.Hong Kong's first-class business infrastructure and mainland China's knowledge of the medicines would prove the perfect combination, said Francis Ho, Hong Kong's director-general of industry. The Chinese drug makers could become bigger players inside a growing global herbal medicine market which was worth $16.8 billion last year, and the expanding health food market that brought in $65 billion, Ho told a news conference.Under a 10-year plan released Tuesday, Hong Kong are able to start producing Chinese medicine-based health tonics and supplements for export in 3 years and curative drugs inside a decade, Ho said."We can see this trend of diet and weight loss," Ho said. "Many consumers now prefer natural products instead of chemical-based drugs."Private companies will be doing the majority of the work, but the government might help by building world-class research and regulatory systems, that happen to be essential to market the drugs abroad, Ho said.Chinese herbal medicine already is becoming a profitable business, as alternative medicines gain popularity and credibility in the West as a complement to traditional Western medicine, Ho said. But very few Chinese drugs are exported as a result of lack of an international drug approval administration to supervise the quality. And many Chinese drugs haven't ever undergone any contemporary clinical scrutiny.Chinese doctors usually prescribe medicinal brews of herbs and animal derivatives, there are also many herb-based over-the-counter drugs. Traditional Chinese medicines using natural ingredients and animal parts have been in existence for 5,000 years.
www.rotarysouth.org/michaelkors-com.html It may be the best idea Washington ever kept secret. Senior citizens like Lola Owens, who live close to the poverty line, are supposed to get their Medicare premiums paid by the government. The problem is, no one in Washington, ever set up a system to actually tell them CBS News Correspondent Wyatt Andrews reports ."I had no idea about," Owens said. "I thought the things they were doing was what was supposed to be done.""Over three million from the hardest pressed Medicare beneficiaries still do not receive the help to which they are due," President Clinton said.Mr. Clinton promised Monday to really make it all right. He ordered federal agencies to publicize the huge benefits."Today I'm launching a national effort to coach every single Medicare recipient about it opportunity,"Mr. Clinton said. But for every one of the fanfare, it wasn't the White House that brought this problem forward. The health care advocacy group, Families USA, concerned to release a report pointing a finger in the administration for deducting premiums through the poorest of seniors without checking should they were eligible for aid.Ron Pollock, the director of Families USA, said, "When they don't receive it, but they are eligible to receive it, their social security checks get deducted towards the tune of $525.60 per year."Lola Owens said $40 or $50 a month has become a amount, especially since she thrives on Social security.Owens, who receives $519 30 days, will now receive an extra $44, and definately will no longer pay co-payments for her health care. For her and millions of others an extensive gap in the national safety net is about to close.

ugg outlet online Authorities have a suspect in last year's bizarre road rage incident where a man yanked a woman's dog from her car and tossed it into oncoming traffic, a prosecutor said Thursday. Santa Clara County Assistant Da Al Weger said he can't release any information about the suspect, but said he hoped the truth could be resolved -- and charges possibly filed by in the future. The San Jose Mercury News reported Thursday how the suspect is in Santa Clara County Jail on unrelated charges, and that police found him with an anonymous e-mail. San Jose Police spokesman Rubens Dalaison dismissed that report in the Mercury News, saying authorities did not have a prime suspect and that authorities were no closer to solving the case. Dalaison and Weger said the suspect was one of the many people who came under suspicion right after the Feb. 11, 2000, incident where a 10-year-old bichon frise named Leo was grabbed through the lap of owner Sara McBurnett. It happened after McBurnett's car bumped another motorist's vehicle. Dalaison said McBurnett failed to pick the man in two earlier photo lineups, and police are no closer to solving true "unless there's some incredible information which comes out of this individual that's in custody." Weger said he cannot comment on the photo lineups. McBurnett developed a Web site dedicated to finding Leo's killer, around the anniversary of the attack. About it, she answered criticism the story had been overblown by media through the reward fund, that is larger than those often generated in cases involving human crime victims."A peculiar controversy has developed over the value we, like a society, place on the life of your pet," said McBurnett. "For some reason, many felt that Leo's tragedy somehow invalidated the tragedy some parents suffer inside the loss of children. I find it peculiar that a lot of people feel justified in questioning other's affairs from the heart."She argues that "where we elect to channel our feelings of compassion, charity and love is entirely approximately us as individuals...On the other hand, where people choose to channel their hate available as violence is everyone's problem."©MMI The Associated Press.
